Roadside emergencies can happen at any time, but an emergency at night can be particularly dangerous.

If you break down on a busy street at night, oncoming drivers may have a difficult time seeing you and your vehicle. Turn on your emergency flashers. If it is safe to get out of the vehicle, set out some reflective triangles behind the car.

If it is not too dangerous, set out emergency flares ahead of blind corners. Do your best to get the car as far off the road as possible while you wait for help to arrive. Have a flashlight in your car. Check and change the batteries periodically. Carry a first aid kit. Either purchase a readymade kit or makes a customized one yourself.

Maintaining your vehicle and being a prepared as you can are two ways to get through a nighttime roadside emergency. Stop by our service department at Tuttle-Click's Capistrano Ford for any of your vehicle or tire maintenance needs. We are glad to help.
